24 Hours of Le Mans: Are You Seated Comfortably?
Friday at Le Mans is the traditional rest day before the 24 hour race begins at 4pm tomorrow afternoon. The gates are still open for the public, who are given access to the pitlane where they can watch the mechanics working on the cars preparing them for the greatest endurance race in the world.
Many of the drivers are taking part in VIP and media activities before heading down into the centre of Le Mans for the traditional drivers parade, which starts at 5pm today.
The staff at the circuit take the opportunity to clean the grandstand seating, which is waiting for some of the 250,000 spectators that will descend on the Circuit du Mans tomorrow morning.
Using the Fujifilm X-Pro1 and Fujinon XF60mm f2.4R lens I took some shots of the seating in the main grandstand, the colours and the patterns caught my eye.
