24 Hours of Le Mans - Day Two: More Driver Video Interviews using the X-T1
The second day of scrutineering on Monday 9 June in the Place de la Republique in the centre of Le Mans enabled us to get eight more video interviews with drivers for the FIA World Endurance Championship website and for the official Daily Motion, Facebook and Twitter feeds.
Once again the Fujifilm X-T1 was used to capture full 1080P HD video of each driver, with all but the interview with Tom Kristensen shot on the Fujinon 35mm f1.4 because I was able to stand further back for each interview. The interview with Kristensen was shot on the Fujinon 10-24mm.
The Nikon ME1 external microphone was used on a 3m extension cable to allow the mic to be placed close to the driver out of shot.
Here are three of the eight interviews we shot on Monday 9 April -
Reigning World GTE Champion Gianmaria (Gimme) Bruni who drives for AF Corse Ferrari.

Other interviews on Monday 9 June with -
Nicolas Prost (Rebellion Racing) - Fernando Rees (Aston Martin Racing) - Nicolas Minassian (SMP Racing) - Matt Howson (KCMG) - Frankie Montecalvo (8 Star Motorsports)
Over the two days we have conducted 15 driver interviews and streamed them via the FIA WEC Daily Motion feed. The Fujifilm X-T1 performed without a hitch and the video quality is more than adequate for the purpose we are using it for.
