Always Have Your Camera To Hand

This shot of the sunset taken through the sea arch under Dunbar Castle illustrates a very important point for photographers of all abilities and that is to have your camera to hand where ever possible.

This shot was taken on Friday evening and we had just gone into town to buy an Indian takeaway.  We had a 20 minute wait while the food was being cooked so we went for a walk down by the harbour in Dunbar.  Luckily I had the X-T1 and 18mm in the car so I put it over my shoulder for the walk.  I spotted the sunset through the arch and clambered down onto the beach to get this shot.
