Silverstone Photo Call
Part of the build up for the opening race of the 2014 FIA World Endurance Championship season is the traditional driver group photograph on the steps of the Silverstone Wing on Friday morning. This is done straight after drivers briefing and it is my job to organise this for 80+ drivers and 100+ media. At least the weather played ball as well.
The shots were taken on the Fujifilm XT-1 + Fujinon 18mm f2 lens. The new XT-1 continues to impress me. Because my current Lightroom 4 doesn't read the RAW files from the XT-1 (Lightroom 5 has been ordered) all the images taken this week are JPEGs straight out the camera with minimal adjustments. The JPEG output from the XT-1 is astounding and I will report back on this when I start my review of my first week with the new Fuji. So far the XT-1 is living up to the reputation it has been getting online and in the photographic press.
