The London Launch of the FIA World Endurance Championship
Today was the day we launched the 6 Hours of Silverstone at Kensington Palace in London. The race on the 18-20 April is the opening round of the FIA WEC and the overall winners will be presented with the Royal Automobile Club Tourist Trophy.
As the FIA Media Delegate for the championship I have spent many hours over the past few months pulling this event together and today was a good day when everything just seemed to go perfectly.
Their Royal Highnesses The Prince and Princess Michael of Kent were the guests of honour and the Prince spoke on behalf of the Royal Automobile Club in his capacity as the President of the Club that was given Royal assent by his Great Grandfather King Edward VII.
