People at Imola

Walking around with a camera is a great opportunity to watch and photograph people at work in the paddock here at the European Le Mans Series in Imola.

Here are some of the shots I've taken today in Italy.  The first shot if of FIA World Endurance Driver's Champion Allan McNish who traveled from his home in Monaco to attend the event in Imola.  Allan, who retired from racing at the end of the 2014 season after winning the world title with Tom Kristensen and Loic Duval, will give the start for the 4 Hours of Imola.

The next two images are of the tyre fitters at Michelin, who supply the tyres for all but 9 car on the 37 car grid and were extremely busy on Friday preparing the different sets of tyres for each of the 28 cars they supply. The other tyre supplier on the grid is Dunlop.

The next couple of images is of the mechanics at the Pro GT by Alemeras team as they changed tyres on the Porsche 997 GT3R during the first Free Practice session.

The next two shots are of a fireman in the pitlane and Assistant Race Director Lisa Crampton enjoying some down time at the AF Corse motorhome in the paddock and making friends.
