Stormy Skies at Seacliff

Yesterday we went for a walk on the beach at Seacliff as the East Lothian coast was bathed in beautiful late summer sunshine.  As we were walking on the beach looking out towards Bass Rock the rain clouds started to roll in along the Firth of Forth, providing a dramatic backdrop.

The Gannets are still on The Bass and the dark clouds provided the perfect counter point to the sunlit birds on and above the island.

On the other side of the bay at Seacliff is the outer marker for the Firth of Forth.  This was also being lit by the sun as the clouds rolled in and so I took a couple of shots before the sun disappeared behind the clouds.

All the shots were taken on a Fujifilm X-T1 and either a Fujinon XF55-200mm f3.5/4.8 or XF35mm f1.4
