Rusted and Eroded

Just below Barns Ness Lighthouse is an old wooden platform that was a quay or a barge and is now lying derelict on the beach.  Time and tide has taken its toll and the ironwork has rusted and the wooden beams rotted.  The result is some beautiful patterns and colours in the wood and the metalwork and it is the perfect subject for the Nikon D800 and Nikon 105mm f2.8 micro lens.
