Le Mans 2012 - Day Four

Day four saw the first track action of the week with Free Practice and the first Qualifying Practice sessions and it was the hybrid Audis leading the time sheets at midnight.

In my role at this event as the Photo Delegate I took the opportunity to travel out to the far end of the circuit to have a look at the problems the photographers face in getting around this massive 14km track.  A lot of the areas are on public roads and you need to travel on public roads to get to the various parts of the track.  Logistically it is more like a rally than a circuit when trying to get around to the various photo positions.

I also borrowed a Nikon 600mm f4 and shot some images on my D300s during the Free Practice session.  Here are some of the results from yesterday using this lens and the others I brought with me.
