Barns Ness Lighthouse
Yesterday morning I headed up to Barns Ness for the third of three 'Back to Basics' workshops I have been conducting and once again the weather played nice with sunny skies, even if the wind was blowing in from the north.
We spent the morning discussing using different focal lengths and the difference a lens can make to the final image. The subject was Barns Ness lighthouse, which is one of my favourite photo locations here on the East Lothian coast.
We started on the west side of the lighthouse, taking some wide-angle shots across the beach before moving around the headland to shoot from the east side, taking shots with wide angle and telephoto lenses to illustrate the different effects that can be obtained from using these lenses and different viewpoints.
The four shots were taken on the Fujifilm X-Pro2 or X-T1 with either the 16-55mm f2.8, 50-140mm f2.8 or 100-400mm f4.5/5.6 Fujinon lenses.
