Hats and Coats at the Ready, Autumn is Here

This morning I will have arrived in Japan and will be heading for two nights in old capital of the Land of the Rising sun, Kyoto.  On Tuesday morning I then go back to Fuji Speedway for the next round of the FIA World Endurance Championship on the 10-12 October.

Before I left the UK yesterday morning I spent a couple of hours out at Tyningham to capture the turn of the seasons from summer to autumn.  While the leaves on the trees are starting to turn colour and drop, there was plenty of other evidence that autumn has arrived in Scotland.

I arrive back from Japan on Monday 13 October and I expect the scenes photographed here to have changed completely as the wind rises to blow the leaves off the trees and those that do remain change colour.  I think autumn is a wonderful season to be a landscape and nature photographer.

All of the shots were taken on the Fujifilm X-T1 and either the XF56mm f1.2 or XF60mm f2.4 macro. The two lenses are of very similar focal lengths but both have different attributes to justify having both in the camera bag.  I will be doing a blog on this subject in the near future.
