The Curlew

The Curlew (Numenius arquata) is Europe's largest wading bird and we have lots of them on the shoreline along the coast here in Dunbar.  This Curlew was spotted on the beach just below the Winterfield Golf Course, searching for food in the rock pools and on the sandy shoreline.
