Clouds and Mountains at Loch Buie

With the Carter household in turmoil getting things packed for our move north to Dunbar in two weeks time and with me heading to Austria tomorrow for Round 3 of the European Le Mans Series at the Red Bull Ring, there hasn't been any time for getting out of the house for photography.  So today's image is one of the unpublished shots from our trip to the Isle of Mull at the end of May.

This was taken from the shore of Loch Buie on the south of the island with the clouds breaking up over the mountain after a quick rain storm swept over just 30 minutes before.

That's the beauty of the West Coast of Scotland, the weather can change very quickly and at some times of the year you can get weather from all four seasons in the matter of hours.

This shot was taken on the Nikon D800, with the Nikkor 17-35mm f2.8 AF-S.  Exposure was 1/400s @ f8 (ISO200) with a Lee 0.6 ND Soft Grad filter.
