Hogwarts

Two weeks ago we had a family weekend in London and the first place we visited was the Harry Potter Studio Tour where you can see some of the sets and props from the eight feature films.  We had a great few hours looking at, and being amazed by, the creative people who produce such memorable films.

The highlight of the tour, and the very last item, was a scale model of Hogwarts Castle.  This is massive and in the image below I included some people so you can see how big this model is.  The thousands of tiles and bricks that make up the model were individually hand made and the undertaking to build this model is breathtaking.

The lighting changed from night to day and lights in the castle windows would illuminate and the miniature lamps would light up.
