The Edinburgh Fringe Festival

One of the reasons for our move from Grantham to Dunbar was to be near the coast but another draw was Dunbar's location close to Scotland's capital city Edinburgh.  August is the month that Edinburgh becomes home to the Fringe Festival, one of the world's biggest music, theatre, comedy and arts festivals.

Part of the Royal Mile near St Giles Cathedral is closed off and becomes the hub of the Fringe where you can find out what is going on and where and also be entertained by street artists.  We walked up and down collecting leaflets and talking to some of the people to determine what we will want to go and see during the next few weeks and here are some of the images from our first afternoon in Edinburgh.
