First Mono Image of 2014

I love black and white images as long as the result suits the subject.  While walking near Winterfield Golf Club I came across these strange objects on the beach that look like old fence posts in a concrete base.  I have since been informed that they may well be the remnants of the old WW2 anti tank defences that lined the beaches 70 years ago.

The strong lighting from the winter sun adds to the contrast to the image, which was converted to mono in Silver Efex Pro2.  The original picture was captured using a Fujifilm X-Pro1 fitted with a Fujinon 14mm f2.8R wide angle lens.
