Textures in the Sand at Seacliffe

The East Lothian coastline is forever changing and the beauty of this time of year you get to walk on some of the best sandy beaches in the world all by yourself.  This morning I decided to head out to Seacliffe and walk along the beach with views out towards Bass Rock and the Firth of Forth.  This is where the Firth starts and there is a big stone cross on the headland to mark the entrance to the Firth of Forth for shipping.

The winter light was very diffused and was perfect for a series of mono images on the X-Pro1 and 18mm f2 lens.  Here is my favourite shot of the morning with the water running off the beach producing some interesting textures in the sand.
