Chinese Pitwalk

One of the advantages for visitors to the FIA World Endurance Championship is the amount of access the ordinary fan can get to the teams and drivers.  Here in Shanghai the drivers took part in an autograph session in the fan area.  At the same time the teams opened their garages for the VIP guests to walk up and down the pitlane and have a closer look at the four classes of race cars.

The pictures in the pitlane show the VIPs getting pictures of the cars in the garages and Porsche decided to pull their no20 car into the pitlane so they could get a closer look.

The race later in the day saw a dominant performance by Toyota to take the top two steps of the podium and move one step closer to the world championship crown.  In the LMGTE category Porsche took a 1-2 finish, which was a good day for the German manufacturer as they took the third spot on the overall podium.
