Kings Cross

Over the past few years there has been a lot of building work in and around London's Kings Cross train station.  The most striking new feature of this redevelopment of the area is the new departures area and the sweeping new roof, which was unveiled just over a year ago.  I spend a lot of time waiting for trains at Kings Cross as this is the main terminal for the East Coast Mainline.

Last year I did a blog on this roof, taking a shot from below with a wide angle lens on my Nikon D700, so yesterday evening, as I waited for my train to board, I decided to take a couple of images from a different angle with the Fuji X100.

The roof is white with coloured lighting so I decided to go for a high contrast mono image and this is the result.

Fuji X100 - 23mm f2 - 1/80 @ f4 - ISO 1000

Fuji X100 - 19mm f2 (WCL-X100 fitted) - 1/45 @ f4 - ISO 1000
