The second full Rockhopper of Percuel episode has been published on the MacLean Photographic Vimeo channel . In part two Skipper Barry Brunton explains the various controls, dials and screens he has in front of him in the Rockhopper's wheelhouse. As well as the controls and dials for the engines, he explains the chart plotter and GPS system, the auto pilot, a must for him as he is single handed on the 32 foot fishing boat, and the radios, including the emergency system. The video was shot on a Fujifilm X-H1, a GoPro Hero 5 Black and the aerial images on a DJI Mavic Pro drone. Earlier this month I was pleased to announce that I would be a regular contributor to the Fujilove.com website.  I will be writing two articles per month about using and traveling with the Fujifilm X-Series and Fujinon lenses. The MacLean Photographic website has been given a refresh with new pages, new information and images and the 2016 dates of the Tours and Workshops beginning with the first one on the 12th March. Currently the dates are for single day workshops here in East Lothian and are all on a Saturday or Sunday.  The three workshops that are available are 'Long Exposure Landscapes', Woodland Exploration' and 'Beaches and Castles'.  All the workshops are for a maximum of three photographers and exclusive one to one bookings are available to. The MacLean Photographic website has been given an early spring clean with a new carousel of images on the front page, links to the new MacLean Photographic 500px web pages and updates to the gallery section, including a new 'Travel' gallery. The gallery section now reflects the four main areas that MP is known for - Landscapes, Wildlife, Travel and Automobile - and these will be updated on a regular basis throughout 2013 and beyond.  The final change is a fresh new font style - comic sans - which has given each page layout a fresh look. The brand new MacLean Photographic website home page The new website for MacLean Photographic was unveiled at the weekend after several weeks of behind the scenes work.  Websites are difficult things to quantify but one thing is clear, in this day of instant communications your website is the shop window for your activity, whether it is business or pleasure. I have been a professional photographer since leaving the military in 1996.  While the vast majority of my income now comes from MacLean Communications (ie the writing and organisation side of the business) being a competent photographer has enabled me to secure work over other highly experienced PR professionals.  It certainly doesn't hurt to have that extra string to the proverbial bow.
