I have stayed in a lot of hotels for work but I never stayed in a hotel that was a castle. The Schloss Gabelhofen is 12 kilometres from the Red Bull Ring in the town of Fohnsdorf near Spielberg in Austria. The former castle had been turned into 57 room hotel in October 1994. HISTORY The building was first mentioned in 1443 Riegersdorf as justice , which belonged to the lordship of Liechtenstein in Judenburg . In 1490 , the courtyard of the Pfanngauer went , and began the expansion to the Renaissance water Castle .
