2016 Statistics - Keep On Climbing

A snapshot of the stats page at 11:00 on Sunday 22 January 2017
2016 was the best year so far for page views on the MacLean Photographic blog, passing 500,000 views last year in November and increasing the overall viewership by 44%.  2016 also saw two significant miles stones passed.  In January the new monthly record became 70,000 and in March the all time history passed 1 million and by the end of the year the total had risen to 1,416,440.

In 2016 the total number of page views weer 557,923 compared to 385,750 in 2015 with fewer stories posted (214 in 2016 to 287 in 2015)

The daily average in 2016 was 1524 per day and the average total per blog was 2607 compared to 1057 / 1344 in 2015.

The next target is to reach the 1.5 million mark, which, as of today, the total currently stands at 1.44 million.

In 2017 I will be posting more features on Fujifilm cameras and lenses, with one big review each month.  This month I am preparing a review of the Fujinon kit zoom lenses and in February I will be reporting on which Fujinon wide angle prime lens is the best for landscapes.

I will also be doing more stories on shooting sports from the spectators perspective, the first story on this new project was posted yesterday on horse racing.

In a change for 2017 I have called the blog 'Capture New Horizons' which is a reference to always looking forward to new challenges.  From now on this blog can be reached via the URL www.capturenewhorizons.com and I hope you will all choose to bookmark that address.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who visits the MacLean Photographic blog and I hope you will continue to visit.
