CAPTURE NEW HORIZONS

This image was taken from the ferry back to Balmaha from Inchcailloch island.  On the short crossing we passed a yacht heading out of the small anchorage towards the north end of Loch Lomond.   Using the Fujifilm X-Pro2 with the XF50-140mm f2.8 lens and 2x converter I captured this shot from a low angle close to the water. Last Sunday, while looking around La Ciotat on the Cote d'Azur, we spotted a large yacht in gold paint moored on the far side of the harbour.  On closer inspection we noticed the name of the vessel was 'DB9' and wondered if this was a reference to the Aston Martin model of the same name. We wandered over to get a closer look at this beautiful boat, which could've come from the set of the latest James Bond film.  With 007's connection to Aston Martin I couldn't think of a more appropriate name. We also found out that DB9 is for sale.  The Price? A cool $32million.  That's quite a few DB9 road cars! On a trip to North Berwick last weekend we saw a group of yachts from East Lothian Yacht Club sailing just off the point and realised that they were lining up for a race around the bay.   Using the Fuji X-Pro1 and 55-200mm lens I was able to capture the following set of images of the boats in action.
