CAPTURE NEW HORIZONS

This evening I got the opportunity to conduct an unscientific test of the Fujifilm X-T1s continuous AF function coupled with the 8 frames per second motordrive.  A Herring Gull decided he liked the look of the bread on the newly erected bird feeding station in the garden. I did three sequence bursts using the X-T1 and all the shots taken were in focus despite Gull moving very quickly, leaping from the ground and  flying up to the feeding station. This is a sequence of 14 shots and the buffer on the X-T1 wasn't full because there are three more shots at the end of the sequence that I haven't used as the bird had flown out of the frame. The camera performed really well, much better than the X-Pro1 which struggles to lock the focus when using the AF-C function, as I proved in Bahrain last November HERE .
