Ferry Travel, Scottish Style

We've just arrived back in Grantham after a wonderful week on the Isle of Mull. It is a long and boring 10 hours of driving back from the West Coast of Scotland but the highlight is the two ferry crossings we have to take. Unlike crossing the English Channel on a ferry (I prefer to take the Tunnel), a ferry crossing in Scotland is much more of an adventure as the scenery is stunning. The Lochaline ferry arriving at the Fishnish terminal The first crossing on our way home is the 20-minute journey from Fishnish on the Isle of Mull over to Lochaline on the mainland. I always prefer to travel the other way and land in Fishnish but it is still a great place to take a ferry as the Sound of Mull is beautiful.
