Today is the last day of my latest trip to Japan and once again it has been an absolute pleasure to visit the Land of the Rising Sun for the sixth time.  I never get tired of discovering new things in this country whose people are welcoming and the culture ancient and respectful.   Of all the places I have visited, Japan has to be second only to Scotland on my list of favourite countries. This is the shot of the sunrise yesterday morning over Mount Fuji.  I watched as the sun hit the clouds and then lit up the top of Japan's sacred mountain (Fuji San).   I was going to get some more shots of Fuji San this morning before I headed back to Tokyo but the beautiful weather that we have enjoyed for the past five days has gone an...

On the Road to Fuji

This morning traveling the 23km from our hotel up to Fuji Speedway here in Japan I decided to strap the X-T1 to the rook of the car using the Manfrotto 241V suction clamp and controlled the operation of the camera using the Fujifilm Remote App on the Google Nexus tablet. This shot was taken as we traveled through Gotemba, around 12km from our destination.  The car is a Toyota Prius and we were driving at around 50 kph (30mph).   The exposure on the X-T1 was 1/25s @ f22 ISO200 and this was enough to give some blur to the road and the vehicles on the opposite side. The second shot was take up in the hills on the approach to the circuit.  The exposure for this shot was 1/7s @f22 ISO200. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PLEASE SUPPORT THIS BLOG BY VISITING THE ADVERTISERS ON THIS PAGE By clicking on the adverts you are helping support this blog - thank you...
